Elektra Luxx Self-Interview
The lovely Elektra Luxx has posted a self-interview on her Blog.

It's smart, funny, ironic and just entertaining. But it has some interesting information as well, so you shouldn't miss it:

Self Interview With Elektra Luxx Part One

Q: Hi Elektra.
A: Hi, beautiful.
Q: So listen, it's been a while since we've gotten any news about the release of Elektra Luxx the movie and I thought I would go straight to the horse's mouth.
A: Which is kind of a strange expression.
Q: Because your mouth does not, in any way, resemble a horse's mouth.
A: It's good to get that out of the way.
Q: Although you do exhibit, sometimes, a kind of colt-like demeanor in the bedroom. Sort of doe-eyed and awkward. In a refreshing way.
A: This interview is way off course.
Q: True. Back to the movie. First off, how is it?
A: It's great. Very true to my life. Because, well, it is my life.
Q: When does it come out?
A: Early next year in the US. Probably LA and New York at first. Maybe one other city, like Austin. We'll go from there.
Q: Congratulations!
A: Likewise. And I'm, um, up here.
Q: Sorry. I was looking down at my notes.
A: Last I checked your notes were not posted in my cleavage.
Q: When you're right, you're right. Can I ask a personal question?
A: I would hope.
Q: Women In Trouble was hard to find in theaters. It sort of came and went. Will the release of this one be a little more, how do I put this, expansive?
A: Boy, your definition of personal is--
Q: That wasn't the personal question. That's next.
A: But yes, I know what you mean about Women In Trouble. Elektra Luxx is being put out by Sony through Goldwyn Films, so the theatrical release should be a little more impactful. Stay in theaters longer, that sort of thing.

Q: Will there be an Oscar campaign, you think?
A: Mm. Not sure about that. Not exactly the tone the Academy usually rewards.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about the movie, for those who didn't make it to SXSW?
A: It takes place a couple of months after Women In Trouble and I'm pregnant in it and at the start of the story I've quit the adult industry and I'm teaching a class at a community college called How To Act Like A Porn Star In Bed. Mostly for housewives.
Q: Is it true Joseph Gordon-Levitt's part is much bigger this time around?
A: Yes it is. He acts a s sort of the narrator of the piece, bringing everybody up to speed on all things me. The kid is a little obsessed with me.
Q: He's funny.
A: Yes.
Q: And handsome.
A: Indeed.
Q: There are more guys in this one, right?
A: Yes. Timothy Olyphant has a big part. And Justin Kirk is in it. And Vincent Kartheiser from Mad Men.
Q: And of course, Holly and Bambi are back. Will Holly finally tell Bambi how she really feels about her?
A: You'll just have to watch the movie and find out.
Q: One last question--
A: --Up here...
Q: Sorry -- yes, is that you doing your own singing in that clip I saw on YouTube?
A: Yes. I sing a version of Robyn Hitchcock's All I Wanna Do Is Fall In Love. It's part of a dream sequence. I dance, too.
Q: I didn't know you danced.
A: I don't, really. And I only had 1 hour rehearsal before we shot it, so it was pretty terrifying, but I think it works.
Q: It looks very sexy.
A: Hopefully sexy and moving.
Q: Would you say Elektra Luxx is more of a comedy than Women In Trouble?
A: I would.
Q: In what way?
A: I'll tell you next time. Right now I gotta run.

I haven't heard or read anything about a release overseas, so we probably have to wait for the DVD/Blu-ray. We will see.

The Blog is cool, it has tons of interesting stuff. And yes, the interview is funny, great sense of humor ;)

Elektra has a special humor, I love it ;)

As for the movie, we (viewers outside the US) probably have to wait until next summer... unfortunately :/
