By Gregg Kilday

CANNES -- Stanley Tucci and Carla Gugino have joined the cast of "Margin Call," which also stars Kevin Spacey and Zachary Quinto.

Written and directed by J.C. Chandor, the film is set in an investment bank during a tumultuous 24 hours during the 2008 financial collapse.

Producing are Quinto, Neal Dodson and Corey Moosa -- all three are partners in Before the Doors Pictures -- as well as Joe Jenckes and Benaroya Pictures' Michael Benaroya and Robert Ogden Barnum.

Myriad is handling worldwide sales, with Myriad president and CEO Kirk D'Amico serving as exec producer along with Laura Rister, Randy Manis and Joshua Blum's Washington Square Films.

lol I was just going to ask whose stupid idea it was to cast Woody Quinto among such a superb and brilliant cast. Guess I have my answer right here! At least he's either delluded enough about his acting or humble enough to surround himself with some fine actors! Tucci, Spacey and Carla on the same screen... Be still my heart :)

Zach Quinto not the dollar to be pleasant. But it seems to me, you seriously underestimate it.

Help me out - Woody? Is that a reference to something I don't know? I have to admit, I'm a bit lost... ;)

lol I was just being mean ;)

"Woody" as in "wooden" as in "he's as expressive as a puppet made of wood" and his acting consists of two expressions "bland good" and "stern bad" which was fine when they cast him in Heroes first season to be a stone cold killer (which they later mistakingly developped beyond his acting abilities) and in Star Trek to play an emotionally detached Vulcan, but will suck in anything else.

I'm sorry if I offend his fans, as it's nor my purpose. But he's so far out of the league of subtle expressive actors like Carla, Spacey and Tucci that if their league exploded, he wouldn't hear it for a few years! ;)

I've only seen 1 1/2 seasons of Heroes, then I lost interest (mostly because the story seemed to go nowhere) and stopped watching. Btw, you've been indeed mean, my dear badgirlfluffy ;). Both roles in Heroes and Star Trek weren't ones that forced the actor to show a lot emotions... so I will rather wait for Zach to play a character that is more challenging, to see his acting abilities then.

A lot of people were bitterly disappointed in Season 2 and forward. You know I'm an avid comic fan and as such I was reluctant to try the show but when I was finally coerced by friends, I loved the first season. Season 2 was a total letdown. Not big surprise since the show's real mastermind was not its 'creator' but the man responsible for Season 1's most interesting arc, Bryan Fuller, had left near the end of the season to develop a show of his own, Pushing Daisies.

Good news. Me very much pleases that Zach and Spacey has joined wonderful Carla. The strong actor's command steals up. A theme not entertaining, the budget is insignificant. But there are talented actors. It is very interesting that these people can think up and make. Very much it would be desirable, that they have surprised with something.

The topic is for sure interesting, and I'm looking forward to this movie. If IMDB is right, Margin Call will be released in September. That would be great!
