Self Interview With Elektra Part Two
Elektra has posted another 'Self Interview':

Q: Whassup, rocker?
A: Are you talking to me?
Q: I was trying to be cool.
A: You're already cool. Just be yourself.
Q: Will do my best.
A: Fire away.
Q: Would you say "Elektra Luxx" is more of a comedy than "Women In Trouble?"
A: I would.
Q: What's that mean?
A: Well, "Women In Trouble" had more heart-to-heart breakdown moments than this one. Although this one definitely has real emotion in it -- which is part of the dichotomy of the tone--
Q: Did you just say "dichotomy of the tone"?
A: I might have, I'm a little sleepy.
Q: I don't know what that means.
A: I'm not 100% sure either, I just like that word, "dichotomy".
Q: Doesn't it mean bifurcation?
A: I take it to mean that these movies have both sides -- the over the top funny ridiculous stuff coexisting with the more sincere emotional stuff.
Q: I see.
Elektra Luxx 05

A: "Elektra Luxx" picks up on another sort of madcap day in the life of its protagonist, meaning me.
Q: Is your life really all that madcap?
A: Pretty mad sometimes. And cappish.
Q: Do you really have an encounter with the Virgin Mary in it?
A: I do. The Virgin Mary is a big part of my life. I turn to her in times of need.
Q: Like Paul McCartney.
A: Exactly.
Q: And she's played by a super hush hush Oscar actress cameo kinda person?
A: I'm not allowed to say.
Q: Is it Frances McDormand?
A: No.
Q: I love her.
A: Me too, but she doesn't really look like the Virgin Mary now, does she?
Q: Is it Tilda Swinton?
A: Nope.
Q: She looks a lot like the Virgin Mary.
A: She does. But it's not her.
Q: Or maybe you're just using reverse psychology and it is her.
A: I'm sure you can probably search a little on the internet and find out exactly who plays her.
Q: Thelma Ritter?
A: I wish.
Q: Speaking of the Virgin Mary, I hear Vincent Kartheiser is naked most of the movie?
A: That is, in fact, true.
Q: And we have to wait til March to see this?
A: That's what I hear.
Q: And what about this Western XXX trailer I keep hearing about?
A: The trailer for "Even Reverse Cowgirls Get The Blues"?
Q: Is it in the movie?
A: It's after the end credits, like a surprise thing.
Q: Well, you just ruined the surprise.
A: I don't like surprises. Or surprise parties. They scare me.
Q: Tell me something you've never told yourself before in an interview.
A: Um, I have no cavities?
Q: Not one?
A: Not one. So I'm not afraid of dentists. Their wives, on the other hand...
Q: Have you started filming "Women In Ecstasy" yet?
A: Not yet, but I've read the script.
Q: What is it about?
A: Can't tell you. But I can tell you Celia is in it.
Q: Who's Celia?
A: She's a character in "Elektra Luxx".
Q: You're being very coy, a little mysterious even. If I didn't know you better, I'd say you're playing things close to the vest.
A: If I was wearing a vest.
Q: But you're not. In fact, you're not wearing much of anything right now.
A: That's my cue to wrap this up.
Q: Is it? I didn't mean to offend you.
A: I'm not easily offended. But I'm easily bored.
Q: Now you're being rude.
A: Not rude, honest. My mind is wandering.
Q: What are you thinking about?
A: Chocolate. And something else that I can't talk about.
Q: Does it have to do with me?
A: In a way. But now it's time to go.
Q: Until next time, Elektra.
A: You know where to find me.

That's too funny. I love this bit best...

LOL Dang Spring of 2011? I hope they do another screening like they did with Women in Trouble here in LA at the Archlight. I'd totally go again. :D Especially if Carla shows up. :D

I'll be there as well. Well at least if they if they come back to Michigan that is. I just hope that Sebastian's prettier half shows up next time. I mean he's a pretty talented director & a nice guy but not exactly what i'd consider eye candy. LOL

*lol* I'm sure he is more happy with being described as "pretty talented" than being pretty. And as long as you like his movies, the rest won't be important ;)

That was Saugatuck if I remember right... when will the festival take place? Would be nice if they stop by again.
